Two More Added to Men's Soccer Class

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Two more student-athletes will join the Syracuse men's soccer team for the upcoming 2012 season,
Orange men's soccer coach Ian McIntyre announced on Thursday, May 10. With the addition of Juuso Pasanen and Ben Ramin, nine student-athletes now make up this year's incoming class, and Topdrawersoccer.com has recognized the group as one of the top 18 classes in the nation.

Here is a closer look at the two newest members of the Orange:
Juuso Pasanen, Midfield, Steinhausen, Switzerland
Has been a member of the prestigious FC Zurich Academy (Switzerland) for the past three years … Currently a member of the Finland U-18 National Team preparing for the upcoming European Championship Qualifiers … Attended the International School of Zug and Luzern.
McIntyre on Pasanen: "Juuso is a versatile, technical midfielder who can solve problems with his passing range and his soccer intelligence. He possesses a relentless work ethic and drive that will allow him continue to grow as a player within our training environment here at Syracuse University."
Ben Ramin, Forward, Baldwinsville, N.Y.
2011 CNYCL Player of the Year … Finished as the second all-time leader in goals and assists at C.W. Baker High School … Won four sectional championships, three regional championships, and was a New York State Finalist in his four years ... Has been a member of the Empire United US Academy team for the last three years … Currently is the leading scorer for the U-18 Academy team.
McIntyre on Ramin: "We are very excited to have Ben join us here at Syracuse University and he continues our attempts to keep the very best local talent close to "home". Ben is a physical, direct attacking player who possesses a contagious energy and enthusiasm out on the soccer field. Ben has the work ethic and commitment to continue to improve and enjoy a terrific career here at SU and contribute with some important goals for our team."
