Mottershead Earns W-League Honor

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Alyscha Mottershead was named to the 2012 W-League All-Central Conference squad. Mottershead played for the Toronto Lady Lynx this summer. She was named to the all-conference squad as a defender after leading the Lady Lynx to the W-League playoffs.
Mottershead, who transferred to SU after her freshman season, is a two-year starter in the midfield for the Orange. She has recorded two goals and two assists in the past two seasons. Mottershead also helped Syracuse record 13 shutouts during that time.
Syracuse will open the 2012 season on Sunday when it plays at Colgate. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
