Wheddon to Assist National U23 and U20 Teams

Head women's soccer coach Phil Wheddon will work with both the U.S. national Under-23 and Under-20 women's teams at the upcoming Four Nations Tournaments for each age group in La Manga, Spain from Feb. 22 - March 5.
The U23 squad will take on Norway, Sweden and England. The U20 team will face Norway, Germany and Sweden. This marks the second consecutive year that Wheddon has been invited to work with the U23 national team at the Four Nations competition. It adds to Wheddon's long list of national and international coaching experience. He served as assistant coach/goalkeepers coach for the U.S. women's senior national team from 2002-04 and 2007-08. In addition, he served on the U.S. men's national team staff from 2005-06.
