SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â Over the coming weeks, Syracuse field hockey head coach Ange Bradley is announcing the program's 2013 signing class. Be sure to check back to SUAthletics.com as the Orange, fresh off its 2012 Final Four run, unveils its incoming class one-by-one.
Â
"I am happy to welcome the Class of 2017 to our great university and hockey family here at Syracuse," Bradley said. "They are the first generation of Syracuse Hockey in The ACC. This presents a tremendous opportunity as well as a responsibility to build upon our past. I am excited to see how this group prepares, unites and grows to compete in the best conference in the nation. I look forward to their arrival in August and I am very thrilled to have the opportunity to develop this talented group of student athletes and teach them the Syracuse way."

In today's installment, Bradley announces the addition of forward Karlee Farr, from Mount Joy, Pa.
Â
A four-year varsity player at Donegal High School, Farr finished her career with 79 goals and 23 assists for 181 points. A three-time Lancaster-Lebanon Section 3 champion (2009-11), Donegal placed third in 2012. She also led the Indians to two second-place and two third-place finishes in the Lancaster-Lebanon League Championship. Farr's freshman and senior year squads were semifinalists in the PIAA State AA Championship.
Â
"I am very excited to be a part of the Syracuse field hockey team. The campus is beautiful and has a great atmosphere," Farr said. "The team was so welcoming when I met them. I know the team and coaches will challenge me to become a better player."
Â
As a senior in 2012, Farr scored 35 goals and dished out 10 assists while serving as team captain on her way to being named Pennsylvania All-State First Team, in addition to being named Lancaster-Lebanon All-League for the second year in a row and a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3 All-Star for the fourth year in a row, her second time on the first team.
Â
"Karlee is an outright forward," Bradley said. "She is the definition of 'speed kills.'Â Karlee is committed to scoring goals and earning corners. She will do whatever it takes to get these jobs done for her team. I am pleased she has joined our team and look forward to seeing her score her first of many collegiate goals this fall."
Â
Farr has been a member of the US Field Hockey Futures Program since 2008, including appearances at the National Field Hockey Festival the last three years with her club team, OD Clan. She has also participated in numerous other state and regional tournaments, including Keystone Games (2008-12), USFHA Regional Rumble (2008) and National Indoor Tournament (2010-11).
Â
"Karlee Farr has been a force on both my high school team and my club team (OD Clan) for the past four years," Donegal High School head coach Jessica Shellenberger said. "She was a sparkplug as a freshman and has continually improved and now has become an important leader as a senior. Her speed and skill combined make her extremely dangerous in the attacking third. She is so much fun to watch. I know she will continue to develop into an even more dynamic player at Syracuse and I can't wait to see where her career takes her."
Â
Farr also starred on the track for Donegal High. She was a District 3 qualifier in the 400 meter dash (second-straight year), placing eighth, and in the 4x100 relay in 2012, after placing third in both events at the Lancaster-Lebanon League meet. She has personal-bests of 59.75 in the 400 meters, 27.60 in the 200 and was part of the school-record 4x100 relay (50.98).
Â
Farr is also a member of the Distinguished Honor Roll and Donegal with a 4.13 GPA.
