Trio Named to 2013 ACC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse senior Brittany Anghel and sophomores Jackie Firenze and Taylor Haenlin have been named to the 2013 ACC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team.
All 14 teams that compete in the ACC are represented on this year's All-Academic Team. The trio was also named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team announced by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).
In her final season, Anghel became the school's all-time leader in wins (28) and shutouts (21). She ranks second on Syracuse's career leader list in saves with 303. Anghel, an education major, was also a 2013 Senior CLASS award nominee and has been on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester at SU.
Firenze started all 17 games she played in last season as a midfielder. She finished the season with two goals and a career-high three assists. Firenze, a health and physical education major, is a two-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Haenlin started all 19 games on defense for the Orange in 2013. She helped the team post four shutouts and completed the season with both a goal and an assist against North Carolina. A biology major, Haenlin is a two-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
