Orange Takes on International Tournaments

Stephanie Skilton will compete as a member of the New Zealand national team.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse women's soccer will be represented in international events in the upcoming weeks.
Standout freshman Stephanie Skilton will be playing for the New Zealand national team, the Football Ferns, in the Cyprus Cup. She will compete in the team's matches against Ireland (March 5), Switzerland (March 7), the Korea Republic (March 10) and the final placement game (March 12). Skilton led the Orange this season with 19 points.
Newly signed freshman goalkeeper, Courtney Brosnan, who arrived on campus this past January and incoming freshman Jessica Vigna (Farmingdale, N.J.) will both compete in the 10 Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain. Brosnan will be on the field for Ireland's under-19 national team and will face England (March 8), Denmark (March 10) and Sweden (March 12). Vigna will compete as a member of the U.S. under-18 women's national team, which is scheduled to play against U19 teams from Sweden (March 8), Norway (March 10) and France (March 12). Both Brosnan and Vigna are part of the Orange's No.7 recruiting class of the ACC.
