Eight Orange in action for PDL and NPSL clubs
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Soccer in the United States has never been more popular than it is right now due to the U.S. Men's National Team's extraordinary peformance at the World Cup in Brazil.
While America's best gear up for tomorrow's Round of 16 match against Belgium, several members of the Syracuse men's team are sharpening their skills as well. Between the Premier Development League (PDL) and National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), eight members of the current Orange roster are on clubs that will practice and compete well into July. The experience gained in these two elite college summer leagues is invaluable as the Orange prepares for preseason training in August.
Below is a quick look at the Syracuse PDL and NPSL representatives and how they are performing:
K-W United FC (PDL)
Jordan Murrell (1 goal, 1 assist, 3 points)
Nick Perea (1 assist, 1 point)
