Syracuse moves up two spots in both polls
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team moved up two positions in each of the major national polls from last week's release. Syracuse ranks No. 23 in the nation in the Associated Press Poll and No. 22 in the country in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Orange moved up two spots in both the AP and coaches' rankings following an undefeated week. Syracuse defeated Wake Forest, 73-62, on Jan. 15 behind a 32-point effort from sophomore guard Alexis Peterson. The squad followed that up with a 64-46 road victory at Boston College on Jan. 18.

Syracuse returns to the road in its next contest, when it travels to RV/- Pittsburgh on Thursday night. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. in the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
