Orange to Host Wolfpack in ACC First Round Wednesday

Syracuse earned the No. 7 seed in the league tournament.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has announced the 2015 men's soccer conference tournament bracket and Syracuse is the No. 7 seed. The Orange will host No. 10 seed North Carolina State on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium in the first round.

Syracuse finished the regular season with a 10-5-2 overall record, including a 3-4-1 mark in conference play. The Orange and Wolfpack met at the SU Soccer Stadium on Oct. 23. North Carolina State took the early lead, but junior Ben Polk tied the score and junior Louis Cross found the back of the net in the 85th minute to give the Orange a 2-1 victory.

The winner of the Syracuse-North Carolina State match will advance to the quarterfinals where it will face No. 2 seed North Carolina, which finished first in the Coastal Division. Wake Forest claimed the Atlantic Division title with 20 points to earn the tournament No. 1 seed.

The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, Nov. 8 while the semifinals are set for Wednesday, Nov. 11. The tournament champion will be crowned on Sunday, Nov. 15. All matches will be hosted by the higher seeded team.
