Orange Returns to Top 25

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse is ranked No. 22 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It marks the Orange's first appearance in the poll since it was ranked No. 15 in the preseason rankings.
Syracuse defeated Duke, 3-1, in Durham on Friday to extend its winning streak to four games and improve its record to 7-2-1, 2-1-1 in ACC play. Sophomore Julian Buescher scored twice in the win for his first multiple-goal game of his career. He now leads the team in scoring with a career-high 13 points.
The Orange tries to remain unbeaten at home when it hosts Albany on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. This weekend, Syracuse goes on the road to face No. 2 North Carolina in Chapel Hill at 7 p.m.
