Polk Named College Soccer News Player of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Ben Polk has earned an additional honor for helping Syracuse to the 2015 ACC Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament MVP is College Soccer News' Player of the Week.

Polk tallied both of the Orange's goals in a 2-0 win at No. 2 Clemson in the semifinals. He then scored Syracuse's only goal in a 1-0 victory at No. 9 Notre Dame in the championship tilt. Polk was one of four members of the Orange to earn All-Tournament honors and was chosen as the MVP.

This season, Polk leads the team with 10 goals and is tied for the top spot in scoring with 24 points. He is tied for first in the ACC in goals and tied for second in the league in points.

Polk and his teammates will start NCAA Tournament play on Sunday, Nov. 22 when they host either Dartmouth or Hartwick at 2 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Tickets for the match are $8 for adults and $5 for youth ages 18 and under.
