Buescher Ranks Among Nation's Best

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Syracuse sophomore Julian Buescher recorded a career-high 11 assists in 2015, which ranked eighth in the country. As a team, Syracuse finished in the top 10 in three categories in the final NCAA men's soccer statistics.

Buescher also ranked 28th in assists per game (0.44) and 25th in total points (27). His 11 assists in 2015 tie him for third on Syracuse's single-season record list and are the most for a member of the Orange since the 2001 season. Buescher now has 16 assists in his career, which tie him for 10th place on Syracuse's all-time record list.

Junior Ben Polk finished 18th in the nation in goals (12) and 21st in points (28). He was also 10th in game-winning goals (5). Freshman goalkeeper Hendrik Hilpert was 27th in the country with a 0.78 goals-against average.

Syracuse was one of the highest-scoring teams in the nation in 2015. The Orange ranked sixth in total points (134), eighth in goals (46) and ninth in assists (42). The 134 points are the sixth-highest in program history, while the 46 goals rank fifth all-time. In addition, the 42 assists are sixth on the all-time record list.
