PITTSBURGH – Syracuse goes on the road to renew its rivalry with Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 7. Tipoff at the Petersen Events Center is set for 4 p.m.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (15-7, 6-3)
1. Junior Michael Gbinije scored Syracuse's last six points, including the game's final basket with less than a second left on the clock, to cap the Orange's comeback in its 72-70 victory against Virginia Tech. Gbinije finished with 18 points, improving his season average to 11.3 points per game.
2. Sophomore Tyler Roberson continued his strong play on the boards against the Hokies. He pulled down 11 rebounds against Virginia Tech, marking the seventh time this season he has recorded 10 or more rebounds.
3. Senior Rakeem Christmas posted his eighth double-double of the season and ninth of his career with 15 points and 12 rebounds against Virginia Tech. He now has 906 career points.

What to Watch For – Pittsburgh (15-8, 4-5)
1. Pittsburgh is going for its third straight victory on Saturday. After snapping a three-game losing streak with a win against Notre Dame, the Panthers defeated Bryant, 76-67, on Monday to improve their record to 15-8.
2. Pittsburgh currently has three players averaging double digits in points this season, including Michael Young (13.2 ppg.), Jamel Artis (12.4 ppg.), and James Robinson (10.4 ppg.). Young also ranks 10th in the ACC in rebounding, averaging 7.8 per game. Artis is ranked ninth in three-point field goal percentage (.412) and Robinson is ranked second in the ACC in assists (5.1 apg.).
3. Jamie Dixon is in his 16th season at Pittsburgh and 12th as head coach. During his tenure at Pittsburgh, Dixon has earned four Coach of the Year awards and has guided the Panthers to 10 NCAA Tournament appearances. He is one of nine coaches to get to 100 wins in his first four seasons.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Pittsburgh, 65-39. The Orange has won three straight against the Panthers, including nail biter last season in the Petersen Events Center. Syracuse trailed by six with 1:56 remaining before C.J. Fair recorded five consecutive points and two free throws by Tyler Ennis with 10 seconds left gave SU a 55-54 lead. A pair of free throws put Pitt back on top with four seconds on the clock. Ennis took the inbounds pass, dribbled up the court and hit a shot from two steps inside the half court line at the buzzer to give the Orange a 58-56 victory.
