
Wilson Leads Ireland to EuroHockey Youth Championship

Incoming student-athlete Zoe Wilson captained the championship squad
Incoming field hockey student-athlete Zoe Wilson led Ireland to the EuroHockey Youth Championships in Mori, Italy.
Wilson served as a team captain for the Ireland squad, which defeated Poland 7-0 in Saturday's final.
Ireland defeated Italy 3-1 to advance to the championship game and also went unbeaten in pool play to go undefeated for the tournament.
The EuroHockey Youth title is the latest international success for Wilson, who has previously served as the captain for the Ireland U16 and U18 teams, before joining the U21 team, where she plays with 'Cuse All-American Emma Russell.
Wilson is a product of Ballyclare Grammar School, where she was a five-year starter and led her team in scoring each of the past two seasons. She has also led Ballyclare to an appearance in the Senior Schools Cup semifinals in three seasons in a row.
