SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Syracuse women's soccer team has officially reported for training camp today, making it the first athletics program at Syracuse to arrive on campus for the start of the 2015 season.
"After a great spring season, we are excited to have our players back in the fall," said head coach Phil Wheddon. "We made tremendous strides as a team and expect to continue taking the steps for success both on and off the field this year."
By officially moving in today, the Orange will attend a few team meetings, including one tonight with new Syracuse athletics director Mark Coyle who was appointed in June.
The team will begin its official training tomorrow, starting with technical training at 7:00 a.m. The Orange will continue two-a-days up until Aug. 15 at 5:30 p.m. The first official game is scheduled for Aug. 21 at 4 p.m. when Syracuse will travel to take on Massachusetts in a non-conference contest.
