Orange Moves Up Three Spots in Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After a double overtime tie with No. 13 Louisville on Friday, the Syracuse men's soccer squad has moved up three spots to No. 22 in this week's College Soccer News Poll. The Orange is now 3-1-1 (0-0-1).

Junior Oyvind Alseth had the lone goal of the game for the Orange in the ninth minute, which was assisted by sophomore Julian Buescher. The ACC leads the nation with nine schools listed in the College Soccer News rankings. The conference also has three schools ranked in the top five.Â

The Orange is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Winston-Salem, N.C. for its second ACC match of the year against Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons are ranked No. 12 in the College Soccer News poll with a 5-0-0 record.
