Orange Climbs to No. 25 in College Soccer News Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse extended its winning streak to three with a pair of victories in the Central New York Classic last weekend. The Orange is now 3-1 overall and moved up three spots to No. 25 in this week's College Soccer News men's rankings.

Syracuse defeated UC-Riverside, 4-1, and then came from behind to defeat Rutgers, 2-1, to claim its second consecutive Central New York Classic title. Senior Korab Syla earned the Offensive MVP award after recording four points in the two matches. He leads the Orange in scoring with five points this season. Freshman Miles Robinson was named the tournament's Defensive MVP.

The Orange returns to action on Friday, Sept. 11 when it opens ACC play against Louisville at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. The Cardinals are ranked No. 13 in this week's College Soccer News rankings.
