Orange Climb to No. 6 in Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Syracuse climbed four spots to No. 6 in this week's men's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The Orange are coming off a 1-0 win against then No. 15-ranked Virginia Tech, which improved their record to 9-3-1.

Syracuse earned 437 points in the poll. Maryland remains at No. 1, while Wake Forest is No. 2 and North Carolina is No. 3. Both the Demon Deacons and Tar Hills moved up five spots from last week's rankings. Notre Dame comes in at No. 4, and Denver is No. 5. Clemson, the Orange's opponent on Friday night, dropped five spots to No. 8.

Prior to taking on the Tigers, Syracuse plays its final non-conference match of the regular season tonight at Hartford at 7 p.m.
