GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse sophomore Kamal Miller is this week's ACC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. It's the first conference Player of the Week award for Miller and the first for a member of the Orange this season.
Â
Miller played a key role on both ends of the field in Syracuse's 1-1 tie against No. 2 Wake Forest last Friday in the regular-season finale. After the Demon Deacons took a 1-0 lead, Miller scored his second goal of the season at the 35:00 mark to tie the score. He also anchored the Orange's defense, which held Wake Forest to just one goal despite playing a man down for more than 104 minutes.
Â
Syracuse begins defense of its ACC Tournament title on Wednesday, Nov. 2 when it hosts Pittsburgh in the first round at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission is $5 for adults. Youth under the age of 18 and students with a valid ID from any ACC institution will be admitted free of charge.
