Robinson Invited to U.S. U-20 International Camp

CHICAGO – Syracuse sophomore Miles Robinson is one of 20 players who will take part in the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Soccer Team International Camp, which will take place Dec. 13-20 in San Jose, Costa Rica. During the camp, the U-20 squad, coached by Tab Ramos, will play two friendlies against the U-20 Costa Rica team on Dec. 17 and 19.

Robinson is a semifinalist for the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy, which is the highest individual honor in collegiate soccer. He earned the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Player of the Year Award and was a first-team All-ACC selection. In addition, Robinson was named to the NSCAA All-South Region First Team and an ECAC All-Star. He started all17 matches in which he played in this season and helped the Orange record 10 shutouts. He also registered a career-high nine points on four goals and an assist. Robinson was also honored for his work in the classroom, earning a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District team.

Earlier this fall, Robinson spent a week with the U-20 squad for the 2016 Four Nations Tournament. He also played with the team last summer, helping the U.S. to the NTC Invitational title.

The International Camp will aid in preparation for the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which takes place Feb. 17 – March 5. The CONCACAF Championship serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
