Tennis Travels To UCF

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The No. 40 Syracuse women's tennis team will look to get back to its winning ways on Saturday when the squad travels to take on the University of Central Florida at noon.

After starting out the season 7-0, Syracuse (8-5) has lost five of its last six matches, all of which have been against top-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. The Orange seek to break their four-game losing streak on the road against UCF (9-4).

No. 45 graduate student Anna Shkudun will look to get the Orange back on track as the top singles player. Shkudun is 8-5 this season and coming off a win over Clemson. No. 26 doubles duo junior Valeria Salazar and freshman Gabriela Knutson started off the season 6-0, but dropped the last two contests in ACC play and are also hoping to get back into the win column.

Both Knutson and classmate Dina Hegab have posted 9-3 records this season in their first collegiate season.
