Several former Orange are competing at the professional and international level. Here are some updates on their careers.
Julian Buescher made his fourth MLS appearance for DC United May 8 against NYCFC. It was his home debut at RFK Stadium, and his second consecutive appearance after he came in as a second half substitute April 30 at the Chicago Fire.
Â
Ben Polk started his third game and scored his first professional goal for Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday May 7. Timbers 2 took on the Real Monarchs SLC at home at Providence Park, posting a 3-1 victory. Polk's goal was the first of the match and got his team off on the right foot.
Â
Jordan Murrell and Skylar Thomas both were selected to the U23 Canada squad for its upcoming Caribbean tour. The 18-man roster will go on a 10-day tour of the Caribbean through May 19. The team will face the national "A" squad of Guyana and Grenada, who are preparing for Caribbean Cup matches in June. Find out more information here.
Â
In addition, Nic Perea made his first start of the season with the Jacksonville Armada against Rayo OKC in the NASL. Perea played all 90 minutes in the 1-0 loss.
