Manley is one of 13 Olympians from the 2016 Rio de Janiero squad that reached the quarterfinal round to remain on the roster for this upcoming year. A three-time NFHCA All-American with the Orange, who captained the program to its first NCAA Championship in 2015, Manley was awarded the Honda Award for her success on and off the field during her senior season. She has 41 international caps with the U.S. team so far in her young career and was the only collegiate player on the Olympic Team last summer. The youngest member of the squad, Manley also helped the Americans win the Pan Am Games in 2015, scoring a goal in the semifinal win which ultimately qualified the U.S. for Rio.
Jecko is one of three new athletes tabbed to the USWNT roster for this year. The goalkeeper and a team captain on the 2015 NCAA Championship squad, Jecko was the starting goalkeeper on both Syracuse teams that reached the NCAA title game, thwarting a penalty stroke opportunity late against North Carolina to seal the team's title in 2015. A member of the All-ACC team as a senior, Jecko led the Orange to a 16-0 regular season, the first perfect regular season in program history, before the team won the title later in the year.
The duo will compete in numerous international events in 2017. In addition to several home-based series games yet to be announced, Team USA will compete in the FIH Hockey World League Semifinals from June 15 to July 23 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following that, the Pan American Cup will take place in Lancaster, Pa. from August 4-13, with both events serving as direct qualifiers for the 2018 Hockey World Cup in London.
