Orange to Face Clemson in ACC Tournament First Round

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the third consecutive year, Syracuse will take on Clemson in the ACC Men's Soccer Tournament. The Orange will travel to South Carolina to take on the No. 4/6 Tigers in the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

The nation's top ranked team, Wake Forest, won the Atlantic Division with a 7-0-1 conference record to earn the tournament's No. 1 seed. North Carolina won the Coastal Division to earn the No. 2 seed. Louisville is the No. 3 seed, while Duke is the No. 4 seed. The top four seeds in the tournament earn a first-round bye.

The winner of the Syracuse-Clemson match will take on the Blue Devils in Durham, N.C. in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at on-campus sites before the ACC Tournament championship match on Sunday, Nov. 12 in Charleston, S.C.

The Orange advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament last season where it tied Clemson, 1-1. The Tigers won the penalty kick shootout to advance to the semifinals. Syracuse won the ACC Championship in 2015.
