SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan was selected to the All-ACC Third Team, as announced Thursday by the league. This is the second league honor for Brosnan in her career as she was tabbed to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2014.
Brosnan leads the ACC in saves this season with 102, after placing in second (93) and first (81) in 2016 and 2015, respectively. In the last game of the 2017 season, the senior broke the program record for career saves, making 344 stops during her four-year tenure in goal for the Orange.
The Short Hills, N.J. native made 67 career starts for Syracuse, posting a 1.30 career goals against average and a .794 save percentage. She ranks tied for second in program history for career wins with 24 and sits in third for career shutouts with 18.
A captain during her senior season, Brosnan remains involved off the field as well, including being a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She was named to the ACC All-Academic Team as a freshman and has been on the ACC Academic Honor Roll for three consecutive years.
