Alexander ranks second on San Antonio in blocks
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Center Kayla Alexander '13 and guards Alexis Peterson and Brittney Sykes, the top three scorers in the history of the Syracuse women's basketball program, are all in action as the 2017 WNBA season is underway.

Kayla Alexander, San Antonio Stars
- Currently averaging 5.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game in 17 contests played
- Second on San Antonio in blocked shots, fifth in scoring and rebounding
- Secured six points, five rebounds, three assists, and a blocked shot against Phoenix on July 7
- Registered four rebounds and one block against Connecticut on July 5

Alexis Peterson, Seattle Storm
- Tallying 2.1 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.2 steals per contest in seven games

Brittney Sykes, Atlanta Dream
- Averaging 9.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.6 blocked shots per game in 16 contests played
- Ranks second among league rookies in scoring and blocked shots, third in rebounding
- Had 18 points, eight rebounds, and a career-high three blocks in a win against Dallas on July 9
- Recorded 18 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and a blocked shot in a victory against Indiana on July 7
- Notched 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals at Dallas on July 5
