Hurff and Weers named Preseason All-ACC
The Syracuse field hockey team was selected as the No. 2 pick in the ACC Preseason Poll by the league's seven head coaches, while returning All-Americans Laura Hurff and Roos Weers were tabbed to the Preseason All-ACC Team.
The Orange duo selected to the preseason team mark two thirds of the First Team All-ACC honorees that return for 'Cuse this season. Hurff, Weers and fellow returner Lies Lagerweij were each postseason All-ACC honorees in 2016, with Lagerweij and Weers capturing First Team All-America nods in addition to Hurff's second team selection as well.
