'Cuse vs. Cal
- The Orange and Bears will square off for the first time in a dozen years in the Orange's 2017 season opener.
- This is the first meeting between the two schools since head coach Ange Bradley took over the program in 2007 and fourth all-time between the two schools.

- The Orange and Tigers will square off for the first time since 2015, in the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
- 'Cuse last played Pacific in 2015, winning 4-1 en route to eventually claiming the NCAA Championship that season.
- Nine current members of the Orange saw action in that 2015 meeting, with Lies Lagerweij, Laura Hurff, Roos Weers and Erin Gillingham all starting.

'Cuse vs. UC Davis
- The Orange and Tigers will square off for the first time since 2015, in which the Orange won 4-0.
- Nine current members of the Orange saw action in that 2015 meeting, with Emma Tufts recording her first collegiate goal in the win.

'Cuse Ranked in 100th-Straight Poll
- The Orange were slotted fifth in the NFHCA Preseason Poll, its 24th-straight poll ranked inside the top-five.
- Syracuse hasn't been ranked outside the top-five since the second-to-last poll of 2014, before the team would go on to reach the first NCAA Championship game in program history.
- Syracuse has been ranked in 100-straight polls and has been ranked every week since the start of the 2008 season, including spending 97 of those 100 polls in the top-10.

'Cuse vs. Ranked Opponents
- Sunday's matchup vs. Pacific will be the first ranked opponent 'Cuse will face in 2017. The Orange have nine matchups currently scheduled against ranked opponents, including all-six ACC games.
- Syracuse is 23-5 against ranked opponents over the last-two seasons.

Hurff and Weers Honored
- Laura Hurff and Roos Weers were tabbed to the Preseason All-ACC team as voted by the league's seven head coaches.
- They are two of the three returning First Team All-ACC players from last season, joining senior back Lies Lagerweij.
- Syracuse was also picked to finish second in the ACC by the coaches this season.
