SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- Syracuse climbed one spot to No. 7 in this week's United Soccer Coaches men's poll. The Orange are coming off a tie against Princeton and a 3-1 victory against Northwestern last weekend in the Central New York Classic. Syracuse is now 3-0-1 overall.

Six of the top 10 teams in the nation are from the ACC, including No. 2 Wake Forest and No. 3 Clemson. Notre Dame moved up three spots in this week's poll to No. 6, while Louisville is No. 8. North Carolina rounds the top 10.

The Orange are also ranked No. 9 in this week's TopDrawerSoccer poll. College Soccer America ranks Syracuse No. 11, while Soccer America has the Orange at No. 14.

Syracuse goes back on the road this weekend for its Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opener. The Orange will travel to Charlottesville to face No. 11 Virginia at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.
