SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On Sunday, join Syracuse University Women's Basketball history as the Orange seek the support of the Central New York community to come to the Carrier Dome and help 'Cuse break the program's single-game attendance record set last season when 11,021 fans flooded the Carrier Dome on Feb. 19, 2017. Come early, as gates will open 90 minutes prior to the 2 pm tip-off between the Orange and Pittsburgh and enjoy Winterfest in the backcourt at the Dome.
TICKETS
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to the Dome to help avoid long waits at the box office due to the large expected crowd.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOME-TIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B) during normal business hours.
'CUSE IN THE COMMUNITY
CNY Chevrolet Dealers, represented by President Gino Barbuto, and multiple Syracuse businesses are leading the effort to celebrate women's basketball at Syracuse University and the benefits of sports. The initiative features area businesses purchasing blocks of tickets for Sunday's game. More than 13,000 tickets have been purchased for the game.
Alongside CNY Chevy Dealers, the local community organizations joining the efforts are Galaxy Communications and Radio Station TK99; National Grid; Pathfinder Bank; Printing and Promotional Solutions; Visions Federal Credit Union; Center State CEO; and community leader Allen Naples.
DOORS OPEN EARLY
Gates A, B and C at the Carrier Dome are set to open at 12:30 pm, 90 minutes prior to tip-off. Parking is free in all West lots on a first-come first, served basis. When the West lots fill up, fans will be directed to Manley Field House where they can catch free shuttle busses to the Carrier Dome.
WINTERFEST IN THE BACKCOURT
Before the game, fans are encouraged to participate in Winterfest in the Carrier Dome backcourt, which will feature SnowGlobe Live, an exciting winter wonderland photo experience, face painting by the Syracuse Spirit Squad, crafts, a selfie station, autographed posters, food, and music. The first 5,000 fans will receive a free t-shirt and prizes will be awarded throughout the game. Club 44 will be open for all fans.
The Orange is 14-4 overall and 2-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season and holds a 9-0 record inside the Carrier Dome. 'Cuse will first play Miami (12-6 overall, 2-3 in conference) at the Watsco Center on Thursday, Jan. 18.
