
Orange's Fall Season Continues at Harvard Invitational This Weekend

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse tennis team's fall season rolls on this weekend in Cambridge, Mass., when the squad sends four student-athletes to compete in the Harvard Invitational. Senior Libi Mesh, senior Dina Hegab, senior Maria Tritou and junior Guzal Yusupova will represent the Orange in the three-day tournament.
All the action from court one at the Harvard Invitational will be streamed live on ESPN+.
ORANGE IN ACTION
Syracuse is joined by competitors from host institution Harvard, Michigan State, Cornell, Boston University and Georgetown this weekend in Massachusetts.
The Orange open their invitational schedule Friday, Nov. 2, first playing in singles and doubles matches against BU at 9 a.m. The action continues at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 in a matchup against Harvard.
Syracuse's quartet closes out the weekend - and the fall season - against Michigan State Sunday, Nov. 4. First serve is scheduled for 8:15 a.m.
LOOKING AHEAD
A trip to the 2018 ITA National Fall Championships in Surprise, Ariz., from Nov. 7-11 is on deck for the Orange.
Senior Gabriela Knutson, junior Miranda Ramirez, sophomore Sofya Golubovskaya and freshman Sofya Treshcheva qualified for the championships and will wrap up their fall seasons there. Knutson is Syracuse's lone singles competitor, and the duos of Golubovskaya and Treshcheva and Knutson and Ramirez will compete in the doubles draw.
