Former Orange defender Miles Robinson helped Atlanta United get to the MLS Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in team history on Sunday. Robinson made his first career playoff start as the Five Stripes defeated New York City FC, 4-1, in front of a MLS playoff record 70,526 fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Â
Robinson was part of the starting XI in pace of Jeff Larentowicz, who was sidelined with an injury. Â He was making his 10th appearance and third start of the season. Robinson was Atlanta United's first-ever draftee when it selected him with the second-overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.

Robinson was voted the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-ACC selection.
Â
