Hagman, Hilpert Earn Academic All-District Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse seniors Jonathan Hagman and Hendrik Hilpert have been voted to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team. Hilpert is making his third consecutive appearance on the All-District squad, while Hagman earns the honor for the second time in his career.

Hagman has started all 17 matches this season in the midfield. He became the 33rd player in program history to record a hat trick when he scored three goals at Akron. Hagman has been one of the Orange's leading goal scorers the past two seasons as he netted five goals in both 2016 and 2017. The finance major also earned Academic All-District and ACC All-Academic Team honors as a sophomore.

Hilpert is one of the most successful goalkeepers in program history. He ranks fourth on Syracuse's all-time wins list (35) and is third in career shutouts (23). Since returning from injury midway through his freshman season, he has started all but one match for the Orange. Earlier this season, Hilpert earned his second ACC Defensive Player of the Week award after shutting out No. 1 Wake Forest.

A double major in finance and economics, Hilpert was voted to the Academic All-America Second Team last season after earning second-team honors as a sophomore.
