
Raposo Earns National Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse's Ryan Raposo has been recognized for his contributions to the Orange men's soccer team in his rookie campaign. Raposo was selected to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Freshmen Best XI First Team and College Soccer News' All-Freshman Third Team.

Raposo led Syracuse in assists this season with seven and ranked second in points with 15. In addition, he tied for third in goals (4). His seven assists tie him for the fourth-highest total for an Orange freshman in program history. He recorded at least one point in eight matches, including a career-high three points in Syracuse's win at Cornell. Raposo was voted to the ACC All-Freshman Team, marking the sixth straight year the Orange have had at least one member named to the squad.

Syracuse earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2018. The Orange were the No. 16 seed and earned a first-round bye before losing to eventual national runner-up Akron in the second round.
