SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 4/5 Syracuse goes for its third straight win to start the season when it hosts Albany on Thursday, Feb. 22. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission and parking are free.

ORANGE LEADS NATION IN SCORING
Syracuse leads the nation in scoring offense and points per game in the latest national statistics. The Orange are one of two teams averaging 20 goals per game through the first two contests of the season. Syracuse has used a balanced offensive attack as 13 different players have scored at least one goal this season. Sophomore Emily Hawryschuk leads the way with six goals, while junior Nicole Levy and senior Neena Merola have five goals each.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Albany opened the season last Saturday with a 12-10 setback to No. 18/24 Yale. Emma Powlin led the way with three points (2g, 1a), while Kendra Harbinger and Sam Tortora had two goals each.

Jessica Davos was promoted to interim head coach in January after serving as an assistant coach for the Great Danes for the past seven seasons. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Orange and helped Syracuse to the 1999 ECAC Championship.

SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's game will be the 11th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Albany. The Orange have won the previous 10 meetings, including last year's contest, 13-12, in the Carrier Dome. The Great Danes led by one with 4:06 on the clock, but two straight goals by Syracuse, the second by Riley Donahue with nine seconds remaining, gave the Orange the victory. #4
