ELON, N.C. – After another schedule change due to poor forecasted weather, Syracuse (12-7) will now face Elon (13-8) on Tuesday, Mar. 13 at 4 p.m. at Hunt Softball Park.

For Starters
- Syracuse took 2-of-3 three games in its ACC opening series at Virginia Tech. The Orange swept a pair of games on Friday (2-0, 8-1) and lost the series finale on Saturday, 2-1.

- Sophomore pitcher Alexa Romero pitched her second no-hitter of 2018 in the 2-0 win over the Hokies. She struck out nine and walked two. Romero is 8-4 on the year with 102 strikeouts and a 1.09 ERA.

- Junior Bryce Holmgren leads the Orange with eight doubles, 19 RBI and is leading the ACC with a .491 batting average. She has reached base in a program-best 41-straight games.

- Senior Sammy Fernandez is 13 hits shy from tying and 14 away from becoming the program's all-time leader in base hits. Fernandez currently has 193 career hits and 22 in 2018.

- Head coach Mike Bosch picked up his 595th career win on Friday at Virginia Tech. Bosch is just five wins shy of eclipsing 600 wins for his career. He compiled a 525-236-2 record at Iowa Lakes Community College and owns a 70-52 mark at Syracuse.

Scouting the Phoenix
- Elon enters the matchup with a 13-8 overall record. The Phoenix lost two of three game to UNC Greensboro in their most recent action and are 10-4 at home.

- Kara Shutt has a team-high .417 batting average along with eight doubles, nine RBI and 21 runs. Hannah Olson hits .412 with a homer, eight doubles, 16 RBI and 15 runs.

- Kiandra Mitchum is 4-3 with a 2.33 ERA in nine starts with a team-best 47 strikeouts. Abby Barker has started seven games and is 5-3 with a 3.02 ERA and Kenna Quinn is 2-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 10 appearances. Elise Walton has a team-best 0.88 ERA and is 2-0 in five appearances with two starts.
