TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Syracuse (15-8, 4-2 ACC) opens up a three-game series with No. 14/12 Florida State starting on Friday, Mar. 23 at 6 p.m. Game two is Saturday and 1 p.m. and the series finale is at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

For Starters
- Syracuse won 2-of-3 games at Virginia to improve to 15-8 overall and 4-2 in ACC play.

- Sophomore pitcher Alexa Romero threw her third no-hitter of 2018 in the 12-0 victory over the Cavaliers. She struck out nine and walked two.

- Junior Bryce Holmgren leads the ACC and ranks sixth nationally with a .507 batting average. Holmgren has reached base in a program-best 45 straight games.

- Orange head coach Mike Bosch is two wins away from eclipsing 600 career victories. Bosch posted a 525-236-2 record at Iowa Lakes Community College and is 73-53 at 'Cuse.

- Junior Alicia Hansen leads the ACC and ranks eighth in the nation with four triples. She did not record a three-bagger during her first two seasons with the Orange.

- Florida State holds a 16-2 lead in the all-time series. Syracuse is in search of its first win over the Seminoles since 2005.

Scouting the Seminoles
- Florida State enters the three-game series with a 23-6 overall record and a 3-0 mark in ACC play. The Seminoles have won 11 straight and swept Virginia Tech last weekend to open ACC play.

- Sydney Sherrill has a team-high .425 batting average along with six homers, a triple, 11 doubles and 27 RBI. Jessie Warren (.403), Carsyn Gordon (.353), Cassidy Davis (.311) and Anna Shelnutt (.302) are the other Seminoles batting over .300. Florida State has combined to hit 36 homeruns this season.

- Kylee Hansen and Meghan King have combined to start all but one game in the circle for the Seminoles. Hansen is 12-3 on the year with a 0.82 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 85.2 innings of action and King is 10-3 with a 1.38 ERA and 56 strikeouts. Cassidy Davis has appeared in 13 games and has a 2.41 ERA.

- Lonni Alameda is in her 10th season as head coach of Florida State. Under Alameda, the Seminoles have earned five ACC regular season titles in a row along with four straight ACC Tournament titles.

'Cuse Adds Two with Army
Syracuse and Army were originally scheduled to play two games at the Patriot Classic earlier this season but those matchups were cancelled. The Orange will now face the Black Knights on the road in a double-header on Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 2 p.m.
