Over the next few weeks, head coach Ange Bradley will be announcing the incoming freshman class. Bradley has previously announced Arabella Bennett.
"I am excited to welcome this class to our Syracuse Field Hockey family," Bradley said. "They are a diverse group and offer us lots of speed and competitive desire to do something special in their time at 'Cuse."
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Peyton Kemp will attend Syracuse University and play field hockey for the Orange beginning in the fall of 2018 according to an announcement made by head coach Ange Bradley on Friday.
"Peyton brings the experience of winning championships and scoring 'big goals' to our program," Bradley said. "She led her team to back-to-back state championships in Delaware. She has good skill and has a knack for finding the back of the cage. She reminds me of former Syracuse standout Lauren Brooks. She is quiet, tough and will do whatever it takes to score for her team. I am happy to have Peyton join our family here at 'Cuse."
A native of Delmar, Md., Kemp helped Delmar High school to an 82-8-2 record in her four seasons with the Wildcats. She tallied 110 goals and logged 39 assists during her time at DHS; 43 of those goals were during her senior campaign.

The 5-foot-4 forward led the Wildcats to back-to-back Delaware State Championships in 2016 and 2017. She was selected for the 2017 senior all-star game and was named the 2017 Delaware State Player of the Year.
Kemp plays club hockey for the Shorebyrds under former Delaware All-American Juli Byrd Bradford.
