LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Syracuse (18-17) travels to Siena for a midweek non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 11. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 3 p.m.

For Starters
 - Senior Sammy Fernandez recorded the 206th base hit of her career over the weekend to tie Tanya Rose as the program's all-time leader in base hits. Fernandez is one hit away from standing alone atop the career base hit rankings. She totaled 42 hits during her freshman year, 57 in year two, 72 over the course of her junior season and has 35 this year. Fernandez also ranks eighth in program history with a career batting average of .322.
- Junior Bryce Holmgren has been one of the most efficient batters in the nation this season. Her .568 on-base percentage and .434 batting average lead the ACC and rank eighth and 33rd in the nation, respectively.
- Sophomore Alexa Romero leads the ACC and ranks seventh nationally with 10.6 strikeouts per seven innings and her 191 strikeouts rank first and ninth, respectively.
- The Orange lead the all-time series over the Saints, 10-0, and swept the doubleheader in 2016, winning 9-1 in five innings and 8-6.
Scouting the Saints
- Siena enters Wednesday with a 9-15 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the MAAC. The Saints have won four of their last five matchups, including a pair of victories over Manhattan on Apr. 8.
- Madysen Cossack leads the Saints with a .384 batting average, five homeruns, 11 doubles and 16 RBIs. Jess Volmer (.353) and Lauren Sabihon (.300) round out the Saints that bat at least .300.
- Maddie McMahon is 3-4 with team-bests of 52 strikeouts and a 2.88 ERA. Brooke Hughes has made three starts and sits at 2-5 with a 3.88 ERA and Lauren Butts has started a team-high 15 games and is 4-6 with a 4.08 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
-Bill Lajeunesse is in his 8th season as head coach of Siena. He became the winningest coach in program history in 2014 and was also named the 2013 Anaconda Sports MAAC Coach of the Year.
On the Orange Horizon
Syracuse returns home to host a three-game series against Louisville. Game one is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 13 at 4 p.m.
