SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse (26-18) looks to build on its season-high six-game winning streak when it host Binghamton and Colgate in a pair of mid-week non-conference matchups on Tuesday, Apr. 24 and Wednesday Apr. 25 at Skytop Softball Stadium.
Syracuse vs. Binghamton: Tuesday, Apr. 24 at 4 p.m.
Syracuse vs. Colgate (DH): Wednesday, Apr. 25 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

For Starters
- Syracuse clinched a spot in the 2018 ACC Softball Tournament field on Sunday after a 7-0 win over NC State.
- After hitting just six homeruns in its first 39 games, 'Cuse has hit six over the fence in its last five outings. Junior Alicia Hansen hit three homers during the five-game stretch, including two solo shots in the 7-0 victory over NC State Sunday.
- Senior Sammy Fernandez, the program's all-time base hits leader, is one multi-hit game away from standing alone as 'Cuse's all-time multi-hit games leader. She is currently tied with Tanya Rose for first with 64.
- In three appearances last week, sophomore Alexa Romero went 3-0 with 41 strikeouts in 20 innings. She held her opponents to a .063 batting average and struck out 14.4 batters per seven innings.
- Hansen has started 104 consecutive games for Syracuse. She's followed by junior Bryce Holmgren (94) and freshman Gabby Teran (44).
- The Orange hold a 20-3 record in the all-time series versus Binghamton and a 7-3 in 10 total games against Colgate.
Scouting the Bearcats
- Binghamton enters Tuesday's contest with an 11-20 overall record and a 4-7 mark in American East league play. The Bearcats are currently riding a four-game losing streak.
- Jessica Rutherford leads Binghamton with a .387 batting average and has 14 RBI. Kate Richard (.306) is the only other member of the Bearcats that bats over .300 and has a team-highs of six homeruns and 23 RBI. Kassidy Seary is hitting .288 with 10 doubles and 22 RBI.
- Rayn Gibson has a team-high 14 starts and has posted a 5-9 record with a 4.29 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 75.0 innings pitched. Makenzie Goluba has a team-best 3.50 ERA and Rozlyn Price has a 3-8 record with a 4.64 ERA in 15 appearances and nine starts. Chelsea Howard is the lone Bearcat with a winning record (3-2).
- Michelle Johnston is in her ninth season as the head coach of the Binghamton softball program. Johnston led the Bearcats to the 2015 America East championship, which resulted in the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Scouting the Raiders
- Colgate is 8-28 this season and 3-9 in Patriot League games. The Raiders have lost five-straight.
- Holly Geranen leads Colgate with a .310 batting average and is one of three Raiders to start all 36 games this season. Jordan Miller is hitting .237 with team-highs of seven doubles and 23 RBI. Geranen has a team-best four homers and has drove in 21 runs this season.
- Kyle Griswold, Jessica Hay and Bella Crow have combined to start all 36 games in the circle for Colgate. Griswold has a team-best 3.77 ERA, Hay is 3-6 and Crow has a team-high 58 strikeouts. Brittany Bendel has made eight appearances in relief and has posted a 1-0 record with a 4.67 ERA in 12 innings.
- Marissa Lamison-Myers in in her inaugural season as head coach at Colgate. Lamison-Myers joins the Raiders after a four-year stint at Bucknell as the top assistant to the 2015 Patriot League Coach of the Year. Prior to her time with the Bison, Lamison-Myers was a member of a national championship coaching staff at Tufts.

Syracuse hosts North Carolina in a three-game series starting on Friday, Apr. 27 at 4 p.m.
