ITHACA, N.Y. – Syracuse (28-19) travels to Cornell for its final road game of the regular season on Monday, Apr. 30. First pitch at Niemand-Robinson Softball Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.

For Starters
 - Syracuse celebrated senior day with a 1-0 win over North Carolina on Saturday afternoon. Senior Rachel Burkhardt led the Orange to the victory with a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the seventh. Senior AnnaMarie Gatti pitched a complete game shutout for 'Cuse with five strikeouts to earn her 10th victory of the season.
- The Orange are 8-1 against in-state opponents this season and have outscored New York schools by the margin of 59-22. Head coach Mike Bosch has a 23-5 record at Syracuse against schools that reside in the Empire State.
- Syracuse had its season-high seven game winning streak snapped by North Carolina on Friday, but is still playing its best softball of the season, having won eight of its last nine contests.
- The Orange hold a 16-9 advantage in the all-time series against Cornell and have won eight of the last nine meetings. 'Cuse topped the Big Red, 6-2 in five innings, in last season's contest.
Scouting the Big Red
- Cornell enters Monday's matchup with a 13-23 overall record and an 8-10 mark in Ivy League play. The Big Red have lost nine of its last 11 competitions.
- Erin Rockstroh leads Cornell with a .439 batting average and Megan Murray hits .407 with a team-high 12 doubles. The Big Red have five batters hitting above .300 and Tori Togasi (23) and Kate Jencarelli (21) have each driven in over 20 runs this year.
- Lisa Nelson and Katie Lew have each made 15 starts for Cornell in 2018. Nelson is 7-6 with a 3.74 ERA and 76 strikeouts, while Lew has posted a 5-10 mark with a 5.14 ERA and 30 strikeouts. Maddie Orcutt and Cora Geunes have combined to post a 1-7 record in 21 appearances and six starts.
- After serving as an assistant and associate head coach at Cornell starting in 2002, Julie Farlow was named head coach in May of 2015. Farlow has played a role in developing 34 First-Team All-Ivy selections and four Ivy League Players of the Year.

'Cuse hosts Colgate in a doubleheader on Wednesday, May 2 at Skytop Softball Stadium. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 5 p.m.
