NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The schedule for the three-game series between Syracuse (18-14, 4-7 ACC) and Notre Dame has been shifted.
Game 1: Saturday, Apr. 7 at 3 p.m.
Game 2 and 3: Sunday, April 8 at 10:30 a.m. (doubleheader)
All three games will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra. Live stats link can be found on cuse.com.
For Starters
- Orange head coach Mike Bosch picked up his 600th win on Wednesday in a 6-2 win against Canisius. He is 601-295-2 all-time and 76-59 at Syracuse.
- Sophomore pitcher Alexa Romero struck out a career-high 14 batters in 'Cuse's 4-1 victory over Army West Point on Mar. 28. She has three no-hitters in 2018, including a perfect game versus Sacramento St. on Feb. 17.
- Junior Bryce Holmgren leads the ACC with a .570 on-base percentage and a .440 batting average.
- Senior Sammy Fernandez is four hits away from becoming Syracuse's all-time base hit leader. Fernandez has 32 hits this season and 203 in her career. Tanya Rose is the current leader with 206 base knocks.
- Junior Alicia Hansen, Fernandez and Holmgren have all started at least 80 consecutive games for the Orange. Hansen enters the game with 92 straight starts and Fernandez and Holmgren have each started 82 in a row. Freshman Gabby Teran is the only other player on the roster to start all 32 games this year.
- The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series 24-7 but 'Cuse has won two of the last three contests.
Scouting the Fighting Irish
- Notre Dame enters the weekend with a 23-12 overall record and a 7-4 mark in league play. The Fighting Irish took two of three games at Virginia Tech in their most recent action.
- Ali Wester leads Notre Dame with a .436 batting average. Cait Brooks has team-highs of six homeruns and 26 RBIs. Abby Sweet (.365), Alexis Bazos (.338) and Morgan Reed (.324) round out the Fighting Irish batters that hit above .300. Reed has five homers and 20 RBIs in 2018.
- Alexis Holloway has a 14-8 record with a 2.09 ERA and 123 strikeouts. She has made 28 appearances with 20 starts. Katie Beriont is 9-4 with a 2.59 ERA in 19 appearances with 13 starts. She has struck out 55 batters in 75.2 innings pitched.
-Deanna Gumpf is in her 17th season as head coach of the Fighting Irish. Under Gumpf's guidance Notre Dame has made 16 consecutive trips to NCAA Regionals, claiming four conference tournament titles during that span.

Syracuse travels to Siena for a doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 11. First pitch of game one is at 3 p.m.
