SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse concludes non-conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 15 against the Connecticut Huskies at 7 p.m. It's Pink Day at the SU Soccer Stadium in support of breast cancer awareness, so fans are encouraged to wear pink. Tiana Mangakahia, a member of the Orange women's basketball team, will participate in the coin toss prior to the game. Admission and parking are free.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse got back in the win column with a 4-3 victory at No. 18 North Carolina on Saturday. It was the Orange's first ACC win of the season and improved their record to 4-3-4 (1-2-2 ACC). Sophomore Ryan Raposo recorded his first career hat trick in the match. He scored the 'Cuse's first two goals, and his final goal in the 88th minute proved to be the game winner. Junior Sondre Norheim headed in his first goal of the season on an assist from senior Massimo Ferrin on a free kick. Ferrin had two assists on the day, while sophomore Hilli Goldhar and senior Nyal Higgins also had one assist each.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Connecticut is also coming off a conference win against American Athletic Conference rival, Cincinnati, 2-0, on the road on Saturday. The victory improved the Huskies' record to 4-7-1. The win was the first win for UConn since Sept. 17 against Manhattan College.

Senior Jordan Hall leads the Connecticut offense with nine goals and 19 points. Redshirt senior Dayonn Harris has nine assists on the season, which lead the squad. Overall, 11 players have at least one assist for the Huskies, while seven players have at least one goal. Sophomore Gianluca Catalano has played every minute in goal for Connecticut. He has 33 saves, a .623 save percentage and a goals-against average of 1.38.

Head coach Ray Reid is in his 22nd season at the helm of the Connecticut program. He has guided the Huskies to four national championships in his tenure, the last one coming in 2000.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's matchup marks the 38th meeting between the two teams. Connecticut leads the all-time series, 22-12-3. The Orange and the Huskies have not played each other in a regular-season game since 2014 when Syracuse beat Connecticut, 4-0, in Storrs, Conn.
