Robinson Named to MLS Best XI

Former Orange Miles Robinson has been voted to the 2019 MLS Best XI, which was announced earlier this week. The Arlington, Mass. native is also a finalist for the league's Defender of the Year award.
Robinson had a breakout season in 2019. He played in all 34 regular-season matches for Atlanta United, making 33 starts, and helped the squad record 14 shutouts. Robinson earned his first call ups to the U.S. men's national team in September and October. An injury suffered while training with the national team kept him out of the MLS playoffs.
Atlanta United, whose roster also includes former Orange Mo Adams, had its season come to an end on Wednesday in a 2-1 defeat to Toronto FC and All-America goalkeeper Alex Bono in the Eastern Conference final. Toronto FC will play for the MLS Cup for the third time in the last four years.
In addition, three former Orange are competing in the finals of the Canadian Premier League. Chris Nanco and Forge FC defeated Calvary FC, featuring Sergio Camargo and Julian Buescher, 1-0, in the first leg. The second leg is set for Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
