Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse will host Maryland Eastern Shore on Military Appreciation Night Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Orange are 1-0 this season after a 66-54 season opening win last Tuesday against Ohio. 'Cuse moved up one spot to No. 20 in this week's Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Poll and is one of six ACC schools nationally ranked.
Admission is free to all fans with a valid military ID. There will be a challenge coin giveaway to the first 200 fans in attendance to Tuesday's game. Fans unable to attend can watch live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) online or via the WatchESPN App.
Redshirt senior Kiara Lewis led the Orange in her first career start, pouring in 16 points. She flirted with a triple-double, adding eight rebounds and seven assists. Senior Gabrielle Cooper and freshman Taleah Washington added 10 points each, while junior Amaya Finklea-Guity led the squad with 10 rebounds.
Maryland Eastern Shore has become a familiar foe for the Orange in recent years, with the two teams facing each other in both 2017 and 2018. Syracuse is 6-0 all-time against the Hawks, most recently dismantling Maryland Eastern Shore, 96-51, on Dec. 5, 2018. UMES is 1-1 overall, with a win over Wesley College and loss at William & Mary.
Syracuse season tickets start at $75 and are available for sale by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or at The Box Office at the Ensley Athletic Center, which will operate extended hours on Mondays, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, and will be open Tuesday through Friday, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, for purchasing tickets to all Dome events.
