Raposo Named to All-ACC First Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse sophomore Ryan Raposo earned All-ACC Men's Soccer First Team honors in a vote by the league's head coaches. The Orange have now had at least one player named first-team all-conference in five of the last six seasons.

Raposo is enjoying a breakout season in 2019. He ranks 10th in the nation in both points (32) and total goals (13). Both are career highs, as are his six assists. Raposo earned ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording his first career hat trick at North Carolina on Oct. 12, leading the Orange to a 4-3 come-from-behind victory.

The Hamilton, Ontario native has recorded at least one point in 10 of Syracuse's 18 matches this season. His 13 goals tie for the highest total for a sophomore in program history, while his 32 points are the third-most for a Syracuse sophomore. Raposo recorded eight points against Morrisville, which put him in a tie for fifth place on the Orange's single-game record list.

Syracuse (7-6-5) is awaiting the announcement of the 48-team NCAA Tournament bracket to see if its season continues. The selection show is set for Monday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on NCAA.com.
