
Orange Move to No. 18 in AP Top 25

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team (22-7, 11-5 ACC) came in at No. 18 in this week's Associated Press (AP) Poll. The Orange are coming off a 2-1 week, which included wins over No. 22 Florida State and Boston College on the road.
On Monday, Syracuse lost to No. 4 Notre Dame in front of the largest home crowd of the 2018-19 season. 'Cuse then hit the road and knocked off the Seminoles, 94-88, for the first win in Tallahassee in program history. Guard Tiana Mangakahia matched a career-high with 44 points to go along with eight assists and three steals against the 'Noles.
In its third game in seven days, Syracuse beat Boston College in the regular season finale, 76-59, thanks to another strong performance from Mangakahia. The junior guard scored 27 points and became the fastest player is Syracuse history to 1,000 career points.
The Orange head to Greensboro, N.C. to compete in the 42nd annual Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournament this week. 'Cuse secured the No. 5 seed and a first round bye and will play the winner of Virginia/Boston College on Thursday at 11 a.m. The game will be aired live by the regional sports network (RSN).
