Orange Wrap Up Regular Season, 3V8+ Beats Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The 20th-ranked Syracuse University women's rowing team finished the regular season with its final dual against No. 7 Princeton on Saturday morning at Lake Carnegie.Â
"We raced a powerful competitor today and credit to Princeton for taking the race to us," head coach Luke McGee said. "I thought our boats did a nice job of staying internal and fighting all the way down the course. There are some areas where we can gain some speed so we'll head back to Syracuse to finish up exams, celebrate our graduating seniors and prepare to have our best race at the ACC Championship."Â
The highlight of the day for the Orange was Syracuse's four-second victory in the third varsity eight guided by coxswain Pawa Osathanugrah.Â
Princeton won the other four races starting the day with a victory over the Orange in the V8+ by five seconds.
Next up for Syracuse is the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship hosted by Clemson from May 17-18 on Lake Hartwell.Â
