The Syracuse men's soccer program hosted the 27th annual Henry E. Glies Orange Open on Sunday, Aug. 4 at The Pompey Club. A total of 76 golfers took part in the event.
The foursome of Justin Summerville, Eric Hankin, Steve Checho and Keith Checho were crowned the 2019 champions with a score of 12 under par. The group was also the only foursome to complete a round at the tournament in April before the event was postponed due to inclement weather.
"We'd like to thank Stan Gorman, his terrific staff, and the The Pompey Club for their wonderful hospitality," Orange head coach Ian McIntyre said. "This was a very special day with very special friends. Thank you to everyone who came out to the course."
Syracuse opens preseason camp on August 13 and hosts Niagara in the first of three exhibition matches on Aug. 18 at the SU Soccer Stadium.
