
Miller Participating in Canadian National Team Camp

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Orange defender Kamal Miller is taking part in the Canadian Soccer's Men's National Team 12-day camp in California. The camp will include training as well as international competition against Barbados and Iceland.

Miller earned his first cap at the Gold Cup last summer and was called up again in the fall. He played in a pair of matches against Cuba and helped Canada defeat the U.S. for the first time in 34 years.

Canada will play Barbados on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and Friday, Jan. 10 before taking on Iceland on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Miller was a four-year starter for the Orange from 2015-18. He served as a team captain as a senior and earned All-ACC and All-Region Third Team honors after helping Syracuse post five shutouts. Miller was selected by Orlando City FC in the second round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft and played in 16 matches, including 14 starts, in his rookie campaign.
